Our Company

 

Founded in 1971 as one of Tennessee’s first HVAC wholesalers, Comfort Supply is a wholesaler of quality Bryant & Payne products and a one-stop location for residential, commercial and geothermal HVAC products. We supply superior stock and expert service from our seven locations in Nashville, Clarksville, Cookeville, Franklin, Gallatin, Murfreesboro, and Knoxville.

Our customers, who are HVAC contractors serving both the residential and commercial markets, trust our expertise and depend on our speed and efficiency – which gives them a competitive edge in the markets they serve.

We help our customers grow their businesses by providing business and technical training classes, marketing solutions, and other resources.

Clay Blevins

President

 

Clay Blevins is the president of Comfort Supply, a nearly 50 year-old heating and air conditioning distributor that sells equipment and supplies to contractors. As one of the state’s first HVAC wholesalers, Blevins purchased Comfort Supply in 2008.  Under his leadership, the company has grown from 5 employees to 60 employees with 9 locations including a corporate office and distribution center.  In 2013, Comfort Supply was included on the 500/5000 list of fastest-growing private companies in the U.S.  The company has also been profiled in various publications for its achievements, including Forbes for its unique culture.

Born in Nashville, Tennessee, Clay received his B.A. and M.B.A. from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida.  He has held past positions with a mergers and acquisitions firm in New York City and an HVAC wholesaler in Newark, NJ.  He has been president of Comfort Supply for 18 years.  In 2010, the Nashville Business Journal named him one of Nashville’s “Top 40 Under 40.”  He is a former president of the Entrepreneurs' Organization of Nashville, and is currently a member of YPO (Young Presidents’ Organization).  Clay serves on the Board of Trustees of the Frist Art Museum as well as the board of Room in the Inn, a local homeless outreach organization.

Billy Jobe

Director of Business Development

Billy has 28 years of solid experience in the HVAC industry including several years in sales management, operations and as a service technician. His outstanding record with both residential and commercial HVAC systems means our customers can be assured that Billy will provide accurate and useful information. He joined Comfort Supply in 2008 and is a vital part of our team.

Rocky Cothran

Technical Service Manager

When a contractor has a question about mechanical, electrical or installation issues with an HVAC unit, Rocky is who they call. He also oversees all warranty and labor credits for all locations. Rocky joined Comfort Supply in 1994 working as a maintenance mechanic, electrician and machinist. He has been NATE certified since 2005 and EPA certified since 1994. He was named Top Tech by Rheem in 2019, which is the highest honor given in his area of expertise.

Lane McCannon

Purchasing Manager

Lane purchases parts, materials, commodities and equipment for Comfort Supply. After high school, he joined the Wisconsin National Guard and worked full time as a training non-commissioned officer (NCO) for five years before getting into the HVAC field at the contractor level. He gravitated toward purchasing and moved onto the wholesale side four years later. Before coming to Comfort Supply in 2013, he spent four years as an HVACR branch manager and sixteen years as the purchasing manager of an HVAC wholesaler in the Chicagoland area.

Joe Rinaldo

Financial and Credit Manager

Joe performs many aspects of our AR and credit functions, including working with customers to help them best manage their accounts. He also supports our team members with our Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). Joe joined Comfort Supply in 2009 with a strong financial background in a variety of roles. He earned his MBA from Western Kentucky University and received his BSBA in Finance from Ohio State University, graduating Magna Cum Laude.

Mike Perone

Corporate Pricing Manager

Mike joined the Comfort Supply team in 2006 bringing with him 18 years of HVAC knowledge from the south Florida region where he called Fort Myers home for 30 years. 

Specializing in the HVAC and Refrigeration markets, Mike has managed wholesale and retail locations and understands the importance of maintaining an accurate pricing system through cost-effective analysis for our customers.

 

Steve Foutch

Executive Vice President

Steve joined Comfort Supply in 2020 with over 29 years of solid HVAC experience including extensive residential and commercial distribution and operations management.  His many strengths include sales and marketing, market analysis, leadership, team building and customer service.

He is a graduate of Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas with a degree in Marketing. His leadership also extends into the community where he has served as an Assistant Scoutmaster with the Boy Scouts of America supporting his son’s Troop since 2012.
